Futurequake This Summer!
FUTUREQUAKE the science fiction comics anthology weighs in at an impressive 96 pages thus summer with a certain emphasis on the publisher's Birmingham location, as evidenced on the cover itself.
ALEX PATERSON's scenes of carnage filtered through with comic pages also bear the signs of a shop logo and we turn the pages to look within we find the Ideaspace series he illustrates written by JJ Robinson offers a lot more of the same, with amusing asides to boot.
Applying the subtitle Hel Comes to Balitown for the strip we find its not quite that neck of the Brummie woods but the city centre and focusses on one of Europe's longest established comics emporium, Nostalgia & Comics, visited by aliens with menacing results alongside cameos by its ever patient staff.
