Rest and relaxation are thrown out of the window however as the book’s adventuring hero is forced to head to the far east, a place that’s caused him more than enough trouble already, not least when he made a deal with a triad to help free a friend.
The first part of the book is set in Europe, with Phillipe Francq’s gorgeous art featuring streets and bays I’m sure I’ve walked down myself, each a backdrop to some great chase scene or set-up. The latter finds a less wide-eyed adventure, the dangers are close-up and as Winch finds at the conclusion of this volume, decidedly personal.
