Yakari  Book 10: The River of Forgetfulness

Yakari Book 10: The River of Forgetfulness, by Derib & Job, Cinebook

IN SAVING a bear cub from falling into a river brave little red Indian Yakari falls over a cliff himself, survives but suffers amnesia in the fall...

Along comes the mother bear and – presumably with a poor sense of smell as well as poor eyesight - mistakes him for the cub. So begins a day of confusion, mishap and gentle humour taking places until another inevitable knock on the head and soon all’s well that ends well, with bear cub brought safely home too.

It sounds so simple and it pretty much is, but it is written with charm, drawn well, and reminds me of the children’s books my daughter and I read together when she was young, and that is the age group this comic book is intended for – both kids and their parents.
