Wayne Shelton Book 1: The Mission

Wayne Shelton Book 1: The Mission, by Jean Van Hamme & Christian Denayer, Cinebook

AFTER ARRIVING at Charles de Gaulle Airport, the limousine escorting Wayne Shelton is being followed, but losing them isn’t the problem it’s the fact that he’s attacked once he arrives at the mansion of his future client, as a test!

The former soviet nation of Khalakjistan is about to make a deal with a multinational corporation, but things are going wrong, like officials being killed in mysterious car accidents. Things need to be sorted, not least because Khalakjistan’s military and unions in France are looking after their own interests and falling foul of each other. That’s the reason for Shelton, an adventurer of world renown it appears, becoming involved.

The 48 page book steers its way across Eastern Europe into Asia, our man of the moment gathering a crack team (careering somewhere between The A-Team and The Seven Samurai) to resolve the matter. Naturally, it’s not that easy.

A lively adventure serial worth following.
