Nostalgia & Comics Host… The Birmingham Comics Festival Quiz Night Special!
JULIE NEWMAR, Lee Meriwether, Eartha Kitt… What name comes next? If you know the answer and are proud to wear your geek badge out for a great night on the town, then get yourself along to The Victoria Theatre Pub on Wednesday 6th April where Nostalgia & Comics will again be hosting a special quiz night as part of this year’s celebrations for The Birmingham Comics Festival.
Over 18s can treat themselves to a Superman Punch, Hulk Smash or a Screaming Thor-gasm cocktail while they chat and hobnob with local media personalities and comic book creators; hear about other events taking place during this year’s Birmingham Comics Festival and see some of the cool independent comics being produced in the Midlands, and most importantly of all; be prepared to test their wits in a comic book quiz with assorted prizes to be won over a series of individual and team games.
With Nostalgia & Comics’ David Dearn again taking on the role of quizmaster, this year’s Quiz Special will be a two part event consisting of an initial team round of 20 questions, then members of the top three scoring teams individually taking part in a final Contest of Champions to win an exclusive grand prize – An original piece of artwork created by one of the guests at this year’s festival convention featuring a character of their choice!
The first round of this year’s Birmingham Comics Festival Comic Book Hall of Fame Award will also be taking place wherein those attending can cast their vote on the most deserving comics-related anniversary of 2016 with all entrants’ names placed in a cowl for one lucky individual to win a special prize – From this a shortlist will be created and the Hall of Fame Award itself will be chosen by a group of comic book professionals at the festival’s convention on the 23rd April.
