Billy & Buddy Book 3: Friends First
Billy & Buddy Book 3: Friends First, by Jean Roba, Cinebook
CHRISTMAS COMES early in the third superb collection of this children’s comic book series popular in Europe for many decades and turned into a European a movie, opening as it does with a number of winter related stories of gentle humour and daft puns.
Friends First is an apt title to describe Little Billy and his dog Buddy – a good kid, on the whole, and a pet who’s clever though not always as clever as he thinks he is – But let's not ignore that fact Billy’s dad gets a good look in this volume, and is the butt of many a joke, of his own making and otherwise. There’s also a new next door neighbour to contend with: a moaning old dear with, of all thing, a pet cat.
Great fun this; and something you can dip into for a single page strip or the whole book in one sitting, and appreciate. It won’t change your world reading this, but it might just help put a smile on your face for a while. It did mine.
